Thank you for sharing this. As a white cishet male in ministry I see this play out here and in academia. As one who whorls for a black woman and has black women scholars as friends I see and hear their stories. I wonder how different it is in corporate and nonprofit and entrepreneur contexts.
I think a lot of it is similar in other contexts. Academia is different in its isolation. We can literally go our entire careers as “the only,” not just in our institutions, but in our city or state.
