I so celebrate with you "the power to say no and to leave tasks not finished." We are leaving the super woman syndrome to the side for good and claiming REST justice to its fullest. In my humble opinion, I see that as you disappoint others, you honor God's temple.

This post is an encouragement to me as I continually pray that I would no longer center the approval of those who would be disappointed to find me human. As I live the most human life I can for myself.

Thank you, as always, for writing liberating words that speak life into my deepest aspirations.

This is so empowering!!! I need to learn that is now safe to disappoint. I’m no longer in a place of abuse.

I appreciate so much No Trifling Matter. I am really applying so many things you teach about self care in your book and have in the past 2 months gifted 3 women the book. Thank you Dr. Chanequa

Good pointers for learning how to say no or know when you're over your limit. As a member of my HOA board, everyone would give me funny looks when I promptly walk out after the meetings run over one hour. I politely explain that I have other things to do. Now, they follow the agenda more closely and eliminate some of the busy talk. I've also learned to choose what things are most important to me and not make everything a priority.

This is what I’m going to start doing as well! I did it last week with a faculty meeting. I’m not sure why people don’t seem to respect meeting times and agendas anymore.
