We all need to realize that we stand with one foot in the world, and at best, one in the world of faith. I often use 3 heart pairs and 3 praying hands. For me this is to remind me that we share a past, join in the present and hold tight for the faith in a communal future beyond this dangerous world!
I really enjoyed this movie and I waited until after watching it to read this post. You raise some interesting points here. The movie really blessed me because it made me see the importance of empathy, kindness, and compassion. We have to get back to those things as a society.
Thank you for this reflection. I saw the movie this weekend (my youngest daughter read the book this summer). I was struck by how kindness is indeed a survival strategy in a world filled with so much danger.
