This is so helpful and greatly appreciated! So many “self-care” resources are so overwhelming that they end up feeling more stressful than helpful. This feels so manageable.
I'm always up for a renewal, taking a good look at my self-care plan. So, I scrolled and stopped at that beautiful Rule of Life you created. Thank you for the challenge, 52 books a year. As many books as I buy, this number causes me to pause and ask myself, "Are you reading enough books?" "Are you slowing down enough to read a book?" Thank you, hope to see you at the AAR/SBL conference in Boston this weekend.
I was scheduled to be at AAR/SBL but changed my mind. My body was sending clear signals that I needed to slow down and rest. So that’s what I’ve been doing the past few days. I hope you had a good conference!
Thank you! I still refer back to the resources shared during the Lent 2024 book study and I may decide to do this again in Lent 2025. This post has encouraged me to revisit my guide for living and journal.
Thank you very, very much for sharing these! Perfect timing, as I lead a group of clergywomen toward developing a renewed personal Rule of Life. I have already recommended your book to them.
I keep trying to access the Canva template, but am told each time (no matter how I log in on Canva, or how I link myself to my other self in a "team") that "You don't have access to this right now." Is anyone else having this problem?
Thank you! The end of the year came like an avalanche, so I have just tried it now. Still no luck, I'm afraid. But I'm all set with the other riches you've shared: thanks again.
Thank you for these. My self-care inventory looks horrible. Yikes! I've made my plans to update my rule of life and poster for 2026, with more intentionality around posting it everywhere and actively practicing my self care plan.

That’s the aim. Self-care shouldn’t be another source of stress.

Can you try again? I think I’ve fixed it now.

I need to figure out what I’m doing wrong with that link.
Thank you for these worksheets and wonderful resources. Much appreciated
